Profhilo hydrates the skin. Structura rebuilds what sits beneath it.

Both treatments are built from the same ultra-pure, cross-link-free hyaluronic acid. The difference that matters is where each one is placed, and what it is asked to do once it’s there.

Dermis

Profhilo

Classic Profhilo is placed within the dermis itself, where it disperses slowly and stimulates the skin’s own fibroblasts to produce fresh collagen and elastin. It’s often described as an injectable moisturiser: it improves tone, hydration and laxity without adding volume or changing the shape of the face.

Superficial fat layer

Profhilo Structura

Structura is placed deeper still, within the superficial fat compartments that sit over the cheekbones and temples. As we age, this layer thins and descends, which is a large part of why the mid-face begins to look hollow or the bone structure becomes more visible. Structura works within that layer to restore its volume and integrity, supporting the face from a structural level rather than filling a line on the surface.

Built for faces that have lost support, not just glow.

Structura tends to suit a different stage of ageing to standard Profhilo — one where the issue isn’t dullness or fine dehydration lines, but a loss of underlying structure. A short consultation with Laurie will confirm whether Structura, classic Profhilo, or a combination of both is right for you.

Structura tends to help when you notice

  • Hollowing through the cheeks or temples
  • A more visible cheekbone or under-eye structure than before
  • Mid-face skin that has begun to descend rather than just dull
  • A face that looks tired even when you’re not
  • Early structural ageing in your late 30s through 60s

What to expect from your treatment

  • A full skin and facial structure assessment beforehand
  • Treatment delivered by cannula, for precision and comfort
  • No “puffy” or filled look — support builds gradually
  • Minimal downtime; most return to normal activity the same day
  • A second session four weeks later to complete the protocol

No. Structura doesn't sit and hold a shape the way a traditional filler does. It integrates into the superficial fat layer and works with your own tissue to restore structural support, which is why results look gradual and natural rather than immediately "filled."

Most patients are told they simply look more rested or well-supported, rather than visibly "done." Because Structura works with the structure already there, the aim is always a natural result.

Classic Profhilo works in the dermis to improve hydration, tone and texture. Structura works one layer deeper, in the superficial fat, to address structural volume loss. Many patients benefit from both, used together or in sequence — Laurie will advise what's appropriate for you.

The standard protocol is two sessions, around four weeks apart, followed by a review. Most patients then move to occasional maintenance treatments, typically every nine to twelve months.

Structura requires no significant downtime. You may notice mild swelling or tenderness at the injection points for a short period, but most patients return to their normal routine the same day.
