Softening the Nasolabial Fold
Naslolabial folds are the lines that run from the outer corner of the nostril to the corner of the mouth. They are natural facial contours that can become more prominent with ageing and the loss of volume in the cheek area.
Dermal filler can be used to successfully soften these lines. The exact injection points will depend very much on the facial anatomy and skin profile of the client. However, typically Laurie will apply filler to the upper cheek area in order to lift and soften for a natural, youthful look, without adding too much unnecessary volume to the face (thereby avoiding the dreaded tell tale overinflated cheeks).
Clients often notice the nasolabial fold as one of the first signs of ageing and so it is one of the most frequently requested treatments.
As is the case with the vast majority of dermal filler treatments, there is minimal downtime. Occasionally there can be very mild swelling that will tend to go down within a day or so and there can be sight bruising at the injection sites. However, Laurie can often minimise the risk of both bruising and swelling by often using a blunt tip cannula.
*Please note that results may vary from client to client depending on various considerations such as age, lifestyle and medical background.
